The College Aides are student workers who help the administrative staff to keep the college running smoothly. You can find them just inside the main JE gate in the Receiving Office, and they are your go-to troubleshooting resource. The hours of the Receiving Office are 9-5, Monday-Friday. The aides interact with the Head of College and the Associate Head of College, the Head of College’s Senior Administrative Assistant, the Operations Manager, and the House Service Assistant. The Aides also staff events like the College Teas, study breaks, and college picnics. College Aides also assist with the opening of the college and freshmen move-in at the beginning of the academic year and with commencement activities at the close of the academic year. To contact the JE Aides, email jonathanedwards.aides@gmail.com.

Favorite Memory: My favorite memory as an aide is working Commencement! It was so much fun bonding with the other aides, creating a meaningful sendoff for the seniors, working with Gygi, Nicole, and Shannon, and eating great food! It gave me a lot of appreciation for everything that makes JE and the residential college system so special!

Two Cents: The present time is all we have so take advantage of the time you have now and never let doubt stop you from trying new things. Doubt is your biggest enemy but only if you let it to win — choose to try, even when you’re unsure.

Two Cents:
You—yes, you—are more capable than you think. Focus on what you can control and try to be grateful for the small things. Remember, you’re in a position that your past self has worked hard to be in! Take care :)

Two cents: You don’t need the perfect moment to act, and you don’t need to feel fully prepared to begin. Start with what you have and trust that you can.
