Vanessa Estimé serves as Assistant Director for the Yale Prison Education Initiative at Dwight Hall at Yale. Higher education has been her home since 2016, and she’s worked in a variety of roles within student retention and success, academic advising, coaching, and mentoring college and university students. Vanessa received her BS in Legal Studies from the University of New Haven, and MSW from Simmons College School of Social Work. She is also a licensed social worker and birth doula committed to strengthening under-resourced communities and guiding its members towards wholeness.
