Nari Shelekpayev

Nari Shelekpayev is a Professor at the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures. He has broad interests related to urban and cultural history of the Russian Empire, Soviet Union, and post-Soviet states, including performance and soundscapes. At Yale, he teaches courses on Bulgakov’s Master and Margarita, Eurasian cities, as well as an introductory course on the history of Russian and Soviet music.
