Fr. Gregory Waldrop, S.J., (Branford ‘84) is currently the Assistant Priest/Chaplain at Saint Thomas More, the Catholic Chapel and Center at Yale. A native of Dallas, he entered the Society of Jesus in 1989 and was ordained a priest ten years later. A specialist in the art and architecture of Renaissance Italy, he has taught art history at Fordham University in New York, where he also served as executive director of University Art Collections, and at Loyola University New Orleans, before arriving at STM in 2025. He holds a B.A. in English from Yale, graduate theology degrees from the Pontifical Gregorian University in Rome and Boston College, a master’s in journalism from Northwestern, and the Ph.D. in the history of art from the University of California, Berkeley.
