Goran is a first-gen American who came to the United States to pursue his passions for research and medicine. He studied biochemistry and computer science at Iowa State University and subsequently completed his PhD and medical training at Yale School of Medicine. In 2024, he joined the Yale faculty as an Assistant Professor of dermatology and pathology, as well as the Yale Cancer Center where he leads a research group studying melanoma epigenetics and immunology. When he is not in clinic or lab, he enjoys spending time with friends and family, visiting the parks, farms and beaches of the CT shoreline or traveling.
